Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BonBark handles information when you visit bonbark.com, create an account, request an appointment, or use our in-home grooming services.
Information you provide
We collect contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, and home address; pet details such as name, breed, weight, age, coat condition, and care needs; and your appointment requests, selected services, preferences, and messages. We may keep service history, agreement acknowledgments, and grooming notes. Home-access details, gate codes, blade lengths, and handling or behavioral notes entered by the groomer are kept in the owner workspace and are not shown in client accounts.
Google and email sign-in
Clerk provides our account authentication. When you choose Google sign-in, Google and Clerk provide an account identifier and basic profile information, such as your name, email address, verification status, and profile image where available. We use this information to sign you in and associate your bookings and pets with your account. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or calendar. Email sign-in uses verification codes managed by Clerk. BonBark does not receive your Google password.
How we use information
We use information to create and maintain your account, save your pet and contact details, calculate estimates and availability, review and confirm requests, plan travel, provide grooming services, communicate about appointments, maintain service records, and protect the website from misuse. Submitting a request does not automatically confirm an appointment.
Addresses and Google Maps
When you use address search, the text you enter is sent to Google to provide address suggestions. Selected addresses and service addresses may be sent to Google Maps to locate homes, display appointments on the owner map, and calculate travel times between visits. Google processes information under its own privacy policy and service terms. You may type your address manually rather than use search; the address can still be used for routing and service planning.
Service providers and disclosures
Cloudflare hosts our website and database, Clerk provides authentication, and Google provides sign-in and Maps services. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or our services, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable obligations. BonBark does not sell your personal information or use Google account data for advertising.
Cookies and technical information
Authentication services use cookies or similar storage to keep you signed in and secure your session. Hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request logs, and error information to deliver, troubleshoot, and protect the service. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in and saved bookings from working.
Payments
BonBark accepts Venmo, Cash App, cash, and checks. We do not accept credit cards or collect card details through this booking website. If you pay through Venmo or Cash App, that provider handles the payment under its own terms and privacy policy.
Retention and security
We retain account, booking, and service information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain relevant business records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and its purpose. We use HTTPS and access controls, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not put payment credentials or unnecessary sensitive personal information into grooming notes.
Your choices and requests
You can review and update your contact and pet details through your account. Contact BonBark to request access, correction, account deletion, or deletion of information. We may verify your identity before acting and may retain information where necessary for legal obligations or other legitimate recordkeeping purposes. Revoking BonBark access in your Google Account stops that connection but does not itself delete existing BonBark records. Additional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live.
Children and changes to this policy
The booking service is intended for adults arranging pet care, not children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us. We may update this policy as our services change and will publish the revised policy and effective date here. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
